課程概述 |
This course is a compulsory course for doctoral students from the Global Health Program of College of Public Health. It will be delivered over one semester through lectures, student presentation of literature review and research proposal, and group-based debate on ethical dilemmas in global health. |
課程目標 |
The objectives of the course include the following:
1. To understand the contemporary issues in global health, including but not limited to social determinants of health, human right and health, pandemic preparedness, and climate change and health.
2. To systematically summarize the literature on a specific research topic in global health and synthesize the best available evidence on the topic.
3. To propose a feasible research project that addresses an important question in global health, considering major elements of a research including background information, study design, data collection and analysis, and public health implications.

課程要求 |
Foundational knowledge on research methods, social determinants of health, and research ethics are anticipated among the students. The course will be conducted in English. |
